  Why I Became A Christian

I was raised Catholic, at the insistance of my parents. After many years of drinking and partying, I got very bored and thought, Is this ALL there is to life?!?! I thought, If there really IS any truth to a life after death, I should at least TRY to find the answer. I started to do some research on science and religion to see if I could come up with any TRUTH about the meaning of life. In school, I was taught that mankind was evolving and getting better, but it didnt appear that way to me. It SEEMED as though modern science had proven that God didnt exist. As I did more research on my own, I found out that this just isnt the case. I learned that the Universe and ALL matter have a DEFINITE beginning. Most atheists and re-incarnationists believe that the Universe has ALWAYS existed, but this contradicts the fact. Cause and effect tells us that the Universe must have been caused. It is logical to believe that an invisible, non-material God had caused the beginning of the Universe. Some think that aliens and U.F.O.s have something to do with our existence, but even if they DID exist, THEY would need a beginning as well! The evolutionists believe that evolution is a FACT, and that the fossil record PROVES it. I learned that neither evolution NOR creation are FACTS, they are only THEORIES! There is NO way to PROVE either one because they CANNOT be re-created in a lab experiment. Whatever THEORY you believe, you MUST believe by FAITH. I learned that when something dies, it does NOT become a fossil, it rots away VERY quickly. Fossils are formed by RAPID burial and destruction , NOT over SUPPOSED billions of years! What the fossil record DOES prove, is that there was a TERRIBLE global disaster. Scattered across mountain tops all over the world are fossils of both modern & extinct ocean and land creatures ALL MIXED TOGETHER. This fact can ONLY be explained by a RECENT Creation and a WORLDWIDE FLOOD, and NOT by evolution. I thought that evolution...

Muhammad was mentioned many times in a few of your 50 million bible "Versions". Get your facts right. Jesus never said he was God, carefully read the context of those verses before and after and understand what it really means.

It is a pleasure to share with you all (viewers). I rate this essay to be exellent. As a researcher for the truth, I have found many similarities with this Writer. I have had the pleasure to share with my friends Muslams and I have found same truth in the Bible. The Bible is unique in ists continuety. It was written in a broad lenth period of time and by different writers. They donīt contradic themselves. The Old testament mentions many profesies regarding Jesus and they had the exact fullfilment on Jesus. John the Baptist was Older than Jesus and he said that Jesus was before him. How Could that be? Jesus was born after John the baptist. John ment that Jesus was long before we were created. Jesus himself ask God his father to glorify him with that glory that he shared with him(God the father) before the world was even created. I could mentine more but this proofs that Jesus was not just a profet but the son of God Himself. Regarding the question on 'chopping around for a religion', I think that it is clear on this essay. It explains about 'Reborn Again' meaning that he was changed in that particular church that he goes to. I truly believe in your hart that your are a new creature in Jesus Crist, donīt be afraid. I you consider your self that to be unsure about it, donīt lie to yourself, ask God for to guide you. Look for a church that preaches the Bible the way it is.

To John Barkowsky: You have been reading creationist literature. The changing of viruses is the equivalent of turning early ape like creatures into humans. The time scale of change depends on the rate of reproduction. Micro-organisms have thousands of generations a day. The higher animals have a handful of generations in a century. The creationists misuse mathematics misstating the odds. The only numbers required are the odds of each step in the process occuring. The odds then are manageable. I still suggest you go down to your library for science books. You will not find a reputable scientist who will say evolution is mathematically impossible.

I feel this Girls essay is brilliant, she needed the truth and found it. But i tell you having faith in God through believing in Jesus christ and the bible and asking God through prayer for the truth would have saved you from all the tons of research u did. 4 me being a christian is living 4 christ and living for christ is living like christ through his examples in the bible, Why u ask, simple because God is God, he is our creator and that is what he wants from us to live our lives following his sons examples.

I think that if you just "Try JESUS" then you will know by first hand expeirence what is real and what is false. Ask for guidence in the name of Jesus through prayier and believe that God will show you the right path. Believe in your heart when you pray. Its facinnating to see how religious issues attract numerous people as opposed to other topics. This only depicts how valuable it would be to make informed choises in matters as such. The seriousness of the matter at hand is clear by the many people who have found it worth to comment more on this essay than the others where some have no comments attached to them by the time am writting this. There is an almost abvious tendency for people to take blindly after their parents, communities they are born into and so forth. This is why one would just tell you this is the truth without any due reason or conviction in the first place. This is categorically the uttermost truth and will be for ever outstand no matter the ammount of opposition. This is God the creator of all things including myself, you, that is reading this text, the devil and anything that is. He shall be always the Lord of all eternally. Think about it and take some effort to find out more. I am not oppossing what you believe in by any chance but I wish you could give this a chance by trying to find out more information on it. I thought this essay was very good. This essay wasnt judging any other religon, it was just stating the facts. Whether you believe it or not, it isnt anyones place to say that this essay is wrong, we all have our own beliefs. If you dont like it, go read something else. Good essay!
