Argos Eyes

Argos’s eye, from Greek is an interesting creation myth explaining how peacock’s have eye looking circles on their tails. But the story, mainly focuses on what Hera did to Io. This myth focuses on two of Greeks most important deity, Zeus and Hera.
In the myth, Argos’s Eyes, the characters are … Hera, the goddess of marriage and birth and all so the queen of the gods. She is well known for venting her fury on the women that Zeus seduces while they were married. Zeus the king of the gods, Wasn’t a very faithful husband to Hera. He usually cheats on her with nymph (any member of a large class of mythological entities in human female form). Also there is Princess Io; she is a nymph that Zeus has an affair with in this story. And of course , Argos , a giant with 100 eyes all over his body. He is well known for always having 2 eyes open while the others rest.
This myth starts with Hera spotting Zeus on earth from the high mountain top of Olympus. Knowing Zeus and his unfaithfulness, Hera goes down to earth to see Zeus and sees Zeus sitting there with a cow. She knows that the cow is really Io but acts like she doesn’t. So she asked for the cow (Io) as a gift from Zeus. When she gets the cow, Hera ties the cow (Io) to a tree and serves Argos to watch her.
One day Zeus come to Io in a form of a Bull and got her pregnant. After that, Zeus sends Hermes ( his son) to set Io free. He did this by telling Argos a long and very boring story, Soon Argos’s eye began to close, then Hermes shut them forever with his wand. When Hera figured out what happened to Argos she put all of his eyes on the tail of a peacock. Then after that when she , figured out that Io was free , she sent gadflies to sting her, The gadflies chased her all the way to Egypt .
